I had the oportunity to participate in a demonstration of a new watercolor from Golden Brand paint. Their new watercolor is called QoR, pronounced "core". It was wonderful to use! The paints brushed out smoothly, dried vibrant and didn't lend itself to runbacks. They use a new binder, aquazol. The viridian green wasn't gummy when fresh and didn't dry and crack after a few days. They also had new grounds that I had the opportunity to experience. I especially liked the Cold-Pressed Ground. It creats a surface similar to handmade paper. Check out their website. The tubes are smaller than the usual but so highly pigmented that less does more! Some colors are definately going on my palette!
